Mahabir was a prince and king.

He found one day he sitting on wealth and people but they were burden on him.

He wished to free his people from himself and free himself of wealth

He announced a day when he would give away all his wealth and kingdom to his people.

He called everyone to open field from all over his kingdom and started giving away wealth - whoever had whatever is theirs.

In the evening when sun was he had distributed all including his cloths. He was not shameless - he borrowed a shawl from his sister and covered his body and took to road. On the way outside locality he found a lame man. He asked Mahabir direction to the open place. Mahabir did not wish to disappoint the lame man since he was late. He gave the shawl away taking only a piece to cover his shame.

While passing through a hedge Mahavir's cover got caught in the hedge. He stopped recover the piece but then realized he could do without his shame and not retrieve his shame.
